The smallest of the spring color types, Beni Maiko means 'red dancing girl' in Japanese.Bright shiny red leaves in spring slowly change to brick red and green as summer progress becoming red, orange and yellow in the fall. Small leaves, fine delicate structure in an an upright form. Lovely for a small garden ,bonsai or container. Vigorously growing in youth, a very heat tolerant cultivar.
