Iris cristata

Perfect as a companion to the maples in the woodland garden, Iris cristata were the first to emerge through the snow in my mother's garden heralding the emergence of the maples in due time. A dwarf woodland iris, ours are a soft powder blue growing to 6" and easily naturalizing. After blooms have passed they contribute a blue- green spiky foilage.
