Having been in the United States for 100 years, Crimson Queen is the standard of the red dissectum maples. The Biltmore Estate in North Carolina has a beautiful specimen estimated to be 80 years old. Red emergence in spring slowly changes to deep red and then green before a display of red in the fall. A slow consistent grower with good heat tolerance.
