Name meaning 'The Thunder', I am sure refers to the brilliant red fall color. This is an older classic cultivar. Large deeply divided leaves emerge bright red quickly moving to a purple red with defined green veins in summer. Vigorously growing with wide spreading form and lots of movement. Easy to grow with good heat tolerance.
