This the most familiar introduction from the Buchholz Ghost series. Gardeners everywhere have found the intense color and vigorous growth an asset in the garden. An iridescent reddish purple in the spring moving to purple for summer and bright red for the fall always an eye-catching bright tree. The details on the leaves are worth noting, both the ruffled edge and the pronounced contrast of the black vein.
